Blocks: The Devilish Delivery Game
That’s the official trailer for Blocks. I worked very closely with sir Eric Rothman on that elegant piece of art, and man did that guy do a fantastic job. Thank you so much Eric, you are a true professional.
If you still don’t know what Blocks is, it’s a game that several Juicers have been making at a company called Darkwind Media. We’ve spent a lot of time designing, polishing, testing, refining, testing again, so on and so forth. We’ve even had a beta testing pizza party, where we invited about 50 people to come in and give us feedback, complete with interviews and surveys. We’re riding the express train to legit-town my friends, and this is the first game of hopefully many more to come.
We’re planning on entering Blocks into 4 game development competitions this year, starting first with www.indiepubgames.com. Voting begins August 1st and lasts until August 31st. If you feel like you want to support our efforts, swing by that site and vote for us. You can also join our Facebook group from the website, where we are amassing an army of followers to help spread the word and vote for the various competitions.
I officially invite everyone to visit the brand new www.blocksthegame.com. Enjoy.

Pioneer Plaque
This is the plaque that was placed on the 1972 Pioneer 10 and 1973 Pioneer 11 spacecraft:![]()
It is designed to show scientifically educated inhabitants of some other star system, who might intercept it millions of years from now, when Pioneer was launched, from where, and by what kind of beings (With the hope that they would not invade Earth).
I can get about as far as deciphering the species, but I think that I have a slight advantage over ‘some other scientifically educated inhabitants of another star system’. What do you think? How good is your atomic/astro physics Juicers? (That’s your big HINT).
Full descripton of the plaque’s symbolism, after the jump.
Michio Kaku Discusses The Future of Physics
Michio Kaku is one of the biggest badasses in the world of Physics. His forte is string theory research, but he’s also written several books about the physics & technology behind “impossible” things like time travel, invisibility, teleportation, antimatter engines, etc. and how they may some day be possible.
This video is from 2005, but the theories are still fairly progressive. One of the most interesting things from this video is how he describes the theory of white holes. I enjoy discussing black hole theory, and the concept of a white hole is rather intriguing. I’ve entertained the idea of matter in a black hole being spat out into a different part of time and/or space, but the idea that it creates an entirely new universe is really interesting. I’m excited to see what the 3 million mile triangulated satellite says about the beginning of our universe.
Dolphins Creating & Playing With Bubble Rings
Dolphins continue to prove to me that they are smarter than we all think. Check out these dolphins creating bubble rings and then playing with them. I love when they end up eating the ring, it’s hilarious.
More information about the physics behind these mysterious rings can be found at Deep Ocean Diving.
