I present to you, (my personal) Game of the Year – 2009

UPDATE: Edited title for truth bombs.  Also, to be fair, I’m actually kinda looking forward to Final Fantasy 13 (haven’t looked forward to a FF game in a while…), and just like Choof, I’m eager to see how Diablo 3 turns out.  Regardless, I’m really looking forward to The Beatles: Rock Band.  Hell, just imagine how much fun this would have been in our college days.

Dasher: A unique method for single-finger text entry

Man this so uses that idea I had when I was twelve that I called the “Theory of Infinite Possibilities”. I really need to write a full post on that someday…but I’m sure it’s already been a fully developed theory by some other mad scientist genius at this point.

This American Life – Live!

Oh holy poo poo, this looks to be fantastic:

Ira Glass will host an actual episode of the radio program, performed onstage by some of our favorite contributors. Dan Savage, Starlee Kine, and Mike Birbiglia will tell stories. David Rakoff and Dave Hill will conduct a ‘special investigation.’ Plus a new cartoon by Chris Ware, additional visuals by Arthur Jones, and a very special appearance by Joss Whedon, creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer! The performance will last around two hours. We’re going to capture the whole thing with a bunch of HD cameras, and send it live* to movie theatres all over the country.

It’s gonna be a fun night. We hope you’ll come.

One night only. Thursday, April 23rd. In select movie theatres and performing arts centers nationwide.

*8 PM EDT / 7 PM CDT / 6 PM MDT and time delayed to 8PM PDT (also 8 PM in Arizona and 7 PM in Hawaii).

You can get tickets here, and for 20$ each, this seems like a bargain to see some TAL Ira Glass action live.

(I just got two tix to the only Rochester showing @ Tinseltown.)

Oh dang…

Google Latitude

Google is one step closer to controlling the world. They have introduced their new service Google Latitude, a way to track your exact location in real-time. It’s very cool & very creepy at the same time. I wonder if it was just a coincidence that they released this AFTER Bush left office? Lemme know if anyone adds this to their phone, you know, so I can stalk you.

Is it bad…

That besides being the second Star Wars themed post in a row, that I just bought this…
