Sultans of Swing – Live

Possibly one of the best live performances I’ve seen. Watch how effortless this all seems to the lead vocals/guitarist. Amazing.

Stuck in My Head – Monday, October 31, 2011, 7:16 PM; Seattle, WA

I just bought a Move controller for this…

They’re also going to be at the #OccupyWallStreet protests in NYC too.  I’ll be getting a copy thanks to the fundage I threw @ Venus Patrol’s way (see this), but this looks like all kinds of fun.

From the description on the video’s page:

Johann Sebastian Joust is a no-graphics, music-based, physical jousting game for two to six players, designed for motion controllers and smart phones. The version in this video uses the PlayStation Move controllers.

The goal is to keep your accelerometer sufficiently still and be the last player remaining. Try to jostle your opponents’ controllers while protecting your own!

When the music plays in slow-motion, the controllers are extremely sensitive to changes in acceleration. When the music speeds up for, this threshold becomes less strict, giving the players a small window to dash at their opponents. If the player’s controller is ever moved beyond the allowable threshold, that player loses.

Gentle rumble feedback and a flickering light signals to the player that they are dangerously close to the lose threshold. Strong rumble feedback and an explosion sound lets the player know when they’ve lost. Their light also turns off.

Tour of Sucker Punch’s studio

G4 came through our studios with their camera crew to check out the office. This was aired on TV the other night and I’m in it! Totally didn’t think I would make it on the B roll shots.

Voicemail Apology

So insane boredom at work the other day gave me the push I needed to finally start a small project I’ve been meaning to do for awhile. Long story short, after “being myself” on OKcupid and striking out on a nothing but consistent basis, I decided to change things up a bit. Instead of finding an aspect of someone’s profile I can relate to and saying something funny/clever about it, I decided to transcribe fantastical voicemails that I’d leave them after our first date together. This worked a million times better, and was soooo much fun to create. (Worked as in got them to respond once)

Anyway, I started a quick blog, and with the help of my Italian counterpart Chad, made it look real nice. Him and I are the only two contributors at the moment (I initial mine JDJ, and his CJC), but we encourage everyone to make their own and post them. They can be completely made up, like most of mine are, or based on a story you’ve heard or experienced. Call/Text/Gchat/Email/Speak to either one of us if you’re ready to enlist. I love you all and you’re all I love.

Festival of Blood

The DLC I have been working on this summer was announced a couple weeks ago at GamesCon in Cologne, Germany. This video was played at the Sony press conference on the big screen and features the very first %100 kstyle classic models in a game. I created most of the stuff you see in the video that was used to set dress New Marais including the Skull balloon, burning effigy of bloody mary, flame sculpture, pyre night gate, etc. Check it out!
