    For those of you interested in the subject, Kurzweil just released a new book called Transcend: Nine Steps to Living Well Forever in which he was a co-author with Terry Grossman. This is their second book together, the first being Fantastic Voyage: Live Long Enough To Live Forever.

    Ray Kurzweil is currently making a movie due for release in 2009 called The Singularity is Near: A True Story About the Future based, in part, on his 2005 book The Singularity Is Near. Part fiction, part non-fiction, he interviews 20 big thinkers like Marvin Minsky, plus there is a B-line narrative story that illustrates some of the ideas, where a computer avatar (Ramona) saves the world from self-replicating microscopic robots.
