Juicy!

Hey Juicers, Do You Have Twitter?

twitter-logo

A couple of weeks ago, I set up the Darkwind Media & Luster Twitter accounts so we could start gathering a following and have yet another outlet to push our news & luster examples. This sparked the idea that I should start using my own Twitter account that has remained dormant since I registered my username a while back.

This is my call for any juicers who have twitter to list their account here (if they wish) so. Feel free to edit the post to keep it tidy.

i must admit, i scoffed at twitter years back when it came out. nevertheless, i created an account to take advantage of some peripheral applications via text messaging. since my iphone acquisition, i saw little use for it and it went dormant, but recently i experienced several instances where i consciously wanted to tweet something.

this’ll be my cue to hop on the wagon, i guess.

I made a twitter account about a little over a month ago and still feel dirty but I guess I will post my name. At least I will have someone to follow now haha.

Yeah I was the same way. I thought about it for a long time and decided I should give it a shot.

The fact that it is a faster, more direct, and less formal method of communication than a blog appeals to me. I once heard it called a “real time discussion”, which just seems to cool to miss out on.

It also has a fantastic API I want to get my hands on, any ideas are welcomed!

I’m noticing that as well right now. My guess is we’re experiencing peak hours traffic right now. I know there is a restriction on how many API calls you can do (100/hour), but during peak hours they limit it to 70 or so. I didn’t notice this lag last night/yesterday.

    Dang you guys. Dang y’all.

I’ve always thought that Twitter was just really silly.

    Bahhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I saw it as nothing more than a site that focuses only on the type of communication that Facebook’s “Status Update” feature provides (which I’ve never been a fan of, hence why I think I have done maybe one status update on facebook in the last 2/3 years).

I dunno. I may break, but as of right now, I just have no desire to share that kind of to-the-minute information with anyone.

Call me a social media networking hermit, if you will.

I’m not sure if this is right or not, but didn’t the Facebook status feature spawn from Twitter?

To me, it seems like Twitter is only really worthwhile if people you actually care about are actively involved in updating. I’m interested to see what happens.
