I present to you, (my personal) Game of the Year – 2009

UPDATE: Edited title for truth bombs.  Also, to be fair, I’m actually kinda looking forward to Final Fantasy 13 (haven’t looked forward to a FF game in a while…), and just like Choof, I’m eager to see how Diablo 3 turns out.  Regardless, I’m really looking forward to The Beatles: Rock Band.  Hell, just imagine how much fun this would have been in our college days.

    I want to play this, it should be awesome. God damn Harmonix and their golden child, they just have to churn out more gems like this until someone outdoes them in the music realm.

    It’s better than Activision and their running to the ground of the Guitar Hero franchise.

    This year ALONE is supposed to yield:

    Guitar Hero: Metallica
    Guitar Hero: Greatest Hits (yay lets pay more money for songs I already paid for in GH1, 2 and 3)
    Guitar Hero 4
    and two Guitar Hero games for the DS.

    Guitar Hero is the new Tony Hawk.

    Interesting point you made about GH being the new Tony Hawk. In fact, lets look at the two.

    Both Tony Hawk and the recent Guitar Hero franchise are developed by the company Neversoft and published by Activision.
